Family and estate lawyer at Outset Law, a strategic, solution-focused advocate who helps clients assess risk and understand the long-term financial impact of their decisions.
Jiya holds a Bachelor of Commerce, specializing in finance, from the University of British Columbia, and a Juris Doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law. Her financial background informs her legal strategy and her advice on property, support and settlement.
Her approach starts with understanding a client's priorities and building a practical, cost-effective strategy around them. She recognizes the emotional and financial toll of a dispute, and explores alternatives such as mediation and arbitration where they serve the client.
At Outset Law, Jiya acts for clients in parenting, property and support disputes, and in the agreements that prevent them. She is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi.
Outside of work, she enjoys family time, basketball, and supporting the Vancouver Canucks.
