What We Handle
Child support in BC is governed by the Federal Child Support Guidelines, which use the paying parent's income and number of children to calculate a base monthly amount. Additional expenses—childcare, medical, extracurricular—are shared proportionally. Spousal support is more fact-specific. Entitlement, amount, and duration depend on the length of the relationship, any economic disadvantage suffered, and the roles each spouse played during the marriage.
