Gurneet Gill is a family lawyer at Outset Law with a strong commitment to advocacy, women’s rights, and helping clients navigate some of the most challenging moments of their lives with confidence and clarity. Her journey to becoming a lawyer reflects years of determination, resilience, and hard work. Beginning her career as an administrative assistant and later working as a legal assistant, Gurneet remained focused on her goal of becoming a lawyer and building a career centred on meaningful advocacy and access to justice.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies from Simon Fraser University, where she developed a deep understanding of systemic inequality, gender equity, and social justice. She later obtained her Juris Doctor from Bond University in Queensland, Australia, where she strengthened her advocacy skills and passion for representing individuals facing power imbalances, family conflict, and emotionally complex legal disputes.
Gurneet is passionate about empowering her clients through knowledge, strategy, and strong legal advocacy. She understands that family law issues often involve deeply personal challenges, financial uncertainty, and significant emotional stress. She is committed to ensuring her clients feel heard, supported, and confidently represented throughout the legal process. Her approach combines compassion with strong advocacy, always focused on protecting her clients’ interests and helping them move forward.
Outside of her practice, Gurneet enjoys spending time with her golden retriever, Koopa, exploring farmers markets, and trying new restaurants around Vancouver.
